The 'friendly tourist' cow motif was created by Kathy Brown and the cow-cowl was first sold in November 2015. Between then and April 2024,
  • 7511 cow-cowls
  • 2586 cow-bobs
  • 97 scrunch caps
have been purchased.


As of January 2025, a total of £13,068.00 had been raised in royalties

Out of this,

  • £5386 was donated to parkrun HQ (prior to 2019) 
  • £1767.06 was used to buy kit for Cowfest host events
  • £4342.75 was donated to national and local charities nominated by UK parkrun tourists and the host Cowfest teams
  • £728.80 was spent on Cowfest gear and sundries.
